Bulega fastest in FP2
Nicolo Bulega tops FP2 in Jerez. Sam Lowes and Iannone round out the top-three, followed by Razgatlioglu, Vickers, and Alex Lowes in the top-six. Locatelli, van der Mark, Rea, and Bassani complete the top-ten.

Andrea Iannone crashes at turn 11, walking away with less severity compared to Rinaldi's earlier crash in that corner. Razgatlioglu was poised to improve his position but had to back off due to the yellow flags for Iannone's crash.

Bulega had been setting strong lap times before the issue, much faster than the rest, who were generally in the 1:39s. Razgatlioglu, despite only completing four laps in the first 15 minutes, is also in the 1:39s.
Bulega returns to the paddock with his bike, heading back to the pit lane. It's uncertain if he'll return before the session's end.

Bulega's issue appears mechanical. He was lapping in the 1:38s but noticed smoke, which Iannone confirmed. He's being towed back to the pits with the black-and-orange flag, indicating an immediate stop on the track. He's pulled off at turn 12, avoiding penalties.

FP1 was relatively uneventful, with only two crashes: Nicholas Spinelli (filling in for Danilo Petrucci) and Lukas Tulovic (wildcard).
Nicolo Bulega was fastest, 0.088s ahead of Toprak Razgatlioglu, the two title contenders.
Xavi Vierge showed good speed on the Honda in third, while Alex Lowes placed Bimota at the bottom of the top-six.
Jonathan Rea was the best Yamaha in eighth, with Alvaro Bautista ninth, ahead of Andrea Locatelli in the battle for third in the riders' standings.
