Taylor Armstrongadmits she's struggling with the idea of having an empty nest once her college bound daughter leaves home.
The 52-year-old reality star - who recently fired back at claims she once dated her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Kyle Richards- told Us Weeklyon Monday:'My daughter is graduating high school and it’s a little hard. She’s my only child.'
She admitted that she still has to 'think about things' to keep her occupied so she avoids feeling 'completely devastated.'
'I’m just trying to make sure I nurture my friendship garden so that we can all be in it together when our kids all go away,' she went on.
The star went on to reveal that her former cheerleader daughter has no plans yet for her future, but she does not want to interfere or get 'too involved.'

The star went on to reveal that her former cheerleader daughter has no plans yet for her future, but she does not want to interfere or get 'too involved'
'At this point, I found that it’s best for me to let go a little bit when it comes to letting her make her own decisions,' she told the outlet.
'I’ve raised her as best I can, and I trust her implicitly. She’s a good kid, and I just know at this point rather than telling her what to do, I’ll just say, "You make your own decision."'
Despite wanting to let her daughter grow on her own, Taylor admitted that when it comes to relationships she will interfere.
'I think the biggest thing, and I hope that she learned from my mistakes, is to recognize the red flags in relationships early on,' she said of her daughter after posting throwback snaps.
'And deviate, don’t run toward the red flags… I think that after seeing what my life was like, hopefully she’s learned that lesson.'
The Real House Wives of Beverly Hills fans were first introduced to Kennedy when she was just a toddler on season one of the hit show.

The reality star shared her daughter with late husband Russel Armstrong, who passed away of suicide in 2011.
They were married fromOctober 27, 2005, up until his tragic death six years later.
Taylor admitted that she keeps an eye on her daughter's relationships and frequently gives her tips so that she avoids further grief and trauma.
'That’s not something that I would want her to go back and experience,' she said of losing her husband.
'As long as we’re having fun, I don’t want [Kennedy] to see me hurting,' she revealed about filming the show after the tragedy.
Despite the 18-year-old starring alongside her mother on RHOBH and RHOC, she does not want to pursue a career in reality TV.
'I would be fine with it if she wanted to do it. I just know that Kennedy’s very stubborn, and she’s not going to let somebody talk her into doing anything she doesn’t want to do,' the mother-of-one explained.
'She’s very strong-willed and so she would not let anyone manipulate her, so I don’t know if she’d be a good cast member. She might just put her foot down on everything,' she finished.

She confirmed she had a five-year relationship with a woman before marrying her first husband, Russell Armstrong.
Taylor even joked about her five-year relationship with a woman saying, 'Hell, I know marriages that don't last that long.'
'Most people are surprised to find out that I'm bisexual. Probably because just, like, stereotypes. I mean, it's not something I broadcast, but I'm open to all people that have great souls and that you can love,' the starlet admitted.
