This list contains the best Ground Generals for free to play players. Generals are very unique to each players playstyle, and therefore you may wish to deviate from this list – treat this list as more of a general guidance rather than an absolute. This guide is segmented into March & Rally, and Reinforcement. This is because some buffs are only enabled under certain circ*mstances.
‘Maxed out’ in this guide shall refer to a General that is level 40 (due to limit information at level 45), fully ascended, fully cultivated, full specialties (except 5th), skin (if applicable), and skill books.

Evony Ground Generals – March & Rally
1 – Elise
Elise can be bought through the Trial of Knights event, so if you save up enough Blood of Ares, you can obtain many copies of her.
Her base special skill provides a 30% ground and mounted HP buff, and a 30% ground attack buff.
When maxed out, she offers:
- 369.6% Ground Attack
- 334.6% Ground Defense
- 361% Ground HP
- 26% March Size
Please note, 15% defense and 15% HP comes from the Elise skin which can not be gained as a free to play player (or a very small chance through the occasional event). Also note her special skill only works when attacking.

2 – Scipio Africanus
Scipio Africanus can be found in the Trial of Knights event, so if you save up enough Blood of Ares, you can obtain many copies of him.
His base special skill provides a 30% ground attack, and 40% ground HP buff.
When maxed out, he offers:
- 329.2% Ground Attack
- 339.8% Ground Defense
- 333.4% Ground HP
- 18% March Size
- 8% Rally Size

3 – Maeda Toshiie
Maeda Toshiie can be found in Relics therefore making him easier toAscend.
His base special skill provides a 35% ground attack, and a 30% ground and mounted HP buff.
When maxed out, he offers:
- 365.4% Ground Attack
- 300.4% Ground Defense
- 320% Ground HP
- 18% March Size
- 8% Rally Size

Alexander Nevsky can be found in Tavern therefore making him easier toAscend.
His base special skill provides a 10% ground and mounted defense buff, and -10% enemy raned and siege attack debuff.
When maxed out, he offers:

- 262% Ground Defense
- 291.2% Ground HP
- 22% March Size
- -10% Enemy Ranged & Siege Attack
- -10% Enemy Ranged & Siege Defense

Her base special skill provides a 30% ground and mounted HP buff, and a 30% ground attack buff.
When maxed out, she offers:
- 304.6% Ground Attack
- 264.6% Ground Defense
- 311% Ground HP
- 12% March Size
Please note, 15% defense and 15% HP comes from the Elise skin which can not be gained as a free to play player (or a very small chance through the occasional event). Also note her special skill only works when attacking, and therefore does not work during reinforcement (this is taken into account in her above stats).

Conclusion
In conclusion, it depends on your playstyle. If you prefer to attack and have plenty of Blood of Ares, then choose Elise, if you have less Blood of Ares, or reinforce more, then you should pick Soult. Both generals rank well in both attacking/rallying and reinforcing.
